Previous endeavours include being an editorial intern at The Walrus magazine in Toronto, editor-in-chief of the Dalhousie Gazette in Halifax, and an intern and freelance contributor to The Gazette in Montreal. I also edit university and college handbooks, help research a US-based statistics column syndicated in more than 75 newspapers, dabble in web design, and have been (mostly erroneously) quoted in the press as an 'expert' on North Korea. I hold a Master of Arts in Political Science from Dalhousie University and Bachelor of Journalism with Honours from the University of King's College. I was born and raised in Halifax, N.S., by Quebecois parents. And I should have gone into architecture.
